Piggyback tuner for 335d

Does anyone have a piggy on their 335d ?

My buddy wants to install one and I cant persuade him to go full ECU re-map for the usual reasons, cant uninstall for dealer visits, never actually 'own' the software, more expensive etc.

Thoughts ?

Yves

Try searching for the P-tronic box. Tunit offer a box also which gives 340bhp!

It's a bit more than 340bhp Carl, the claim is 368 horses with torque at 740Nm!!
Bearing in mind the box is only rated to 750Nm, that's running a tad too close for comfort in my book.

I'd love to see an independently verified dyno of it though.

or go for the Spider one.

Both are pretty much the same design. Not sure which is cheaper at the moment but I would not spend more on one than the other.

I've just been looking at one of these type of boxes, I had one in my previous car and it worked well.

I brought it from these guys http://www.diesel-performance.co.uk/ who claim to take it from 286 to 330 bhp and push the torque from 580nm to 675nm. Was contemplating getting another for when the 335d arrives, but looking at the P-tronic and spider it's not giving as much power but is a little cheaper.

I too would love to hear peoples experience of them in BM's
