Hello everyone. Just trying to clear out some of my old parts. I have a used E90 Black Sapphire OEM Hood. Its been in storage and in excellent shape. Great for those that have dings, scratches, etc.

Asking $300 as is. O.B.O.

Local buyer preferred, but willing to ship at buyers expense.

i know this sounds silly but is there a difference to sapphire metallic black to just black?

I need a hood for my 328i and my car is black. Now im curious if there is a difference between the colors meaning one is more kind of sparkly then the other?

Yes, BSM is sparkly; whereas, black is just flat. Hope that helps. From a distance it looks the same, but up close you can definitely tell a difference between the two color.

Yes and no.
Yes there is more than one kind of black.
Jet Black - No sparkle at all. Flat black
Black Sapphire Metallic - Lots of sparkle

You can clearly tell the difference up close.
If you look at your paint and you can see any sparkle then you have BSM.
Or you can just look at your window sticker that came with the car or post some pics.

Mine has metallic flakes in it. If you have Jet black...it looks just like a plain regular black. I live in Torrance...but the hood is stored in El Monte. Let me know if you are interested.
