*8 Hours Later* My 330i Freshly Waxed & Detailed
I think I was going for a record this time around because it had been FIVE months since my car last got a bath. I guess that's one of the disadvantages of living in an apartment. And anyone in Los Angeles will tell you that your car stays clean for about a day and a half after you wash it.
I had been searching for a detailer for a number of months, but only in just the last couple of weeks got serious about it because I was sick of having a dirty car. The trouble was that my detailer back in Florida, where I moved from, couldn't be beat (pander5 from this board) so the standards were extremely high. I finally found Mike at Pro Mobile Auto Detailing and gave him a call because from what I heard, he is the best of the best out here in Southern California. We set an appointment and he made the 2 1/2 hour drive out to the San Fernando Valley. All there is to say is that my extremely high expectations were met. Mike arrived at 9AM and worked on the car until 4:15PM. He is truly one of the hardest working and friendliest guys in the biz and pays attention to every detail. Many detailers forget that the world "detail" is part of their job title; not Mike. I'm definitely looking forward to having him come out regularly for that Premium Gloss Wash Service he offers. Since it's such a long drive for him, normally he wouldn't even make the trek, given the regular wash service is only $35 (just to be clear, I'm talking about the detail above which costs much more, the $35 service is just a weekly thing to keep the car clean), but he said he'd still be willing to make the journey if I could get five cars together. So anyone in the San Fernando Valley in a similar position and want to get their car hand washed every other week by the best in the business for only $35? Mike is totally self-sufficient (he's got 100-gallons of water and a generator in his van) so I want to find 4 people who would want to regularly meet once every other week so Mike could wash our cars. We could probably meet in the Ralph's parking lot at Alameda and San Fernando in Burbank. Post or send me a PM if interested. Here's a link to the info on the $35 wash: http://www.promobileautodetail.com/a...h_service.html Now for PICTURES! Before and after. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks! Yeah, a friend actually commented that he thought I painted my wheels a different color after the wash. LOL

i'm torn between the Canon Rebel XSi (aka 450D) and the Nikon D80 ![]() the Canon has image stabilization and dust control built-in where as the Nikon does not but the Nikon has better image processing and an extra display

I've got the Nikon D80, but I was actually using a Sony DSC-N1 point + shoot for these pictures.

Sure is. He left at 6:30AM and didn't arrive until a few minutes past 9AM.
