Louisiana meet anyone!?!?!? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hey guys, I have not seen any thread regarding any kind of meet here in Louisiana area. So I have pm'd a couple of members on the forum that I can find (or know of) regarding a meet in New Orleans area (or anywhere else that is agreed upon). I have a tight schedule myself, but hell I want to see some NICELY modded E9X around Louisiana (I know a couple members here who have nice stuff). I will make my efforts to go out there and greet my fellow members!!!!

So I just want to throw the idea out there and see how's the response. Feel free to drop by this thread and just to introduce yourself. I would like to know how many of us are out there. And wellz who knows, we just might be able to get something going soon.....

There is a regular meet at KBL every Sunday night, come on out if you want to. The gathering generally starts around 9ish in the evening.

My name is Bryan. I live on the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain, in Abita Springs. I drive an AW 08 M3 sedan. I also had an 08 E92 335 in space gray w/ M6 reps. I would be able to offer up a good place for a meet. In Abita, we have the Abita brew pub which is a good central location. There is adequate parking at a nearby school for a meet. Abita is a good central location for NO, BR and the Gulf Coast. The first meet would be very informal and maybe we could go bigger depending on participation.

Good suggestion man, a nice little drive to the north shore is not a bad idea!!! If we can make this meet happen, I can sure try to bring this guy that I know with AW E92 with me.

Come on now people, where is everyone!!!!

Wsup! I'm down for a LA meet. Pretty busy w/ work but can make the time for it.

Ken, you should've went to the drift event today at Zephyr Park. It was a big turnout!

Damn dude, I don't even know such event!!!! Where are these ads at, I never know these stuff.... So what kinda drifting it was, JDM cars or muscle?

Just flew in today from Atlanta. I am up in the small town of Amite and doing some work in Kentwood. I was suprised to see a white E90 335i in this area; driven by a young female.

Any RWD cars are allowed on the track. Register at Nostreetracing.com it's a local LA forum that gives you update of happening events around here.

My last visit down there, i rarely saw BMWs. It was quite a shock to me where here i see them constantly.

Maybe if I get another trip down there I can meet up with you guys.

For those who saw this post, what are your schedules like for next couple of weeks? I am thinking that more people in LA area might be more interested if there is a meet date to shoot for. I think once we have something going on, we can attract more interests. So any suggestions?

BTW, I need someone who can take good photos since I only have this little digital camera....

There's a "Hoosier Daddy" auto-x event at Zephyr Park this Sunday. Come out there to meet all the local enthusiasts. Registration starts at 8AM if you plan on entering the event.

Oh thanks for the tip. So it's okay if I just show up around 10am if I am just there to watch? I have never attend this kind of event before and would love to drop by if I got the time!!!

You can show up anytime from morning to afternoon and spectate!

Hows it going guys? A couple of other boards(bimmerforums + e46fanatics) met a week ago in Baton Rouge. It was a decent turnout. But, we are meeting again soon. Possibly Saturday morning for some sort of breakfast/meet/drive. I will give you more info when I get it, but yall should definitely come. It would be great to get a better turnout. And judging by the sigs in this thread, yall have some well put together cars.

This particular meet would be in BR. But, if yall do something in NO or in between, I will definitely try to make the trip.

I will keep you all updated.

Nice, I never had a chance to go to other BMW forums to check out the meets. Thanks for dropping by and I sure am interested in a meet in BR. Let us know, I would love to have something going down!!!
