Which Treo 650 do you have? I have the GSM unbranded and unlocked one. I'm considering the 330i, but the Treo couldn't find the 330i in the dealer when I tried the handsfree setup.

What you do for the Treo 650 is turn the car BT on. Go into your treo and discover a new hands-free device. It will fine your bmw and ask for a pin. Type in whatever you want. The BMW will then respond and you have to type the same pin in. Tada. All done.

Works great!

There is a successor to p910 coming out soon, 930 or 950, it would probably have the profiles necessary for everything to work. I got p900 and am waiting for the new one as well

My E815 is also working great.

One question though. If you hear an incoming call coming in, how can you answer it on the phone only and not the car; without disabling blue tooth? For instance, I have a call coming in and I don't want everyone else to hear this particular call, so I want to bypass the car for this call only. Currently, when I answer the call on the phone, it automatically transfers it via blue tooth to the car.

I think you have to disable bluetooth on the phone or just ignore that call.

V710 Bluetooth Problem

I have paired my Motorola V710 to the Bluetooth module in my car, but each time I enter the car, the phone and the Bluetooth module do not automatically recognize each other. Each time, I have to manually have both the phone and Bluetooth module "search" for each other. I have the Bluetooth option powered "on" in my phone. I also have the latest phone software. Any ideas on what might be the problem?

Thanks.

I have used my phone with two different E90s, one with the basic bluetooth, the other with iDrive and the phone cradle.

It seems to me there were connection problems with the basic one, but the one with iDrive and the cradle works reliably.

I put the phone into the cradle before inserting the key. When I insert the key, the bluetooth connection icon on the phone appears almost instantly.

My phone is a Motorola, but different model.

I'm guessing that the cradle may help the process, but this is a wild guess. Anyone, do you have experience that would help this guesswork?

I got a "call waiting" call when I was handsfree, but could not switch over to the other call. Does anyone know how? I have the E815. Thanks!

FYI, tried my new 330i (no iDrive) tonight with a GSM unlocked, unbranded Treo 650 and everything worked perfectly the first time. It only loads the favorites into the phone book, but that's OK, I don't need it to load all 500 names in contacts. I was really impressed how easily it all paired, loaded, and worked!

Thats the only way I have found to make it work with my Moto E815.

Not sure this will help?
I discovered tonight that I can transfer call from car to phone.
Take the call via the car. Open your cell phone & sellect menu.
2nd down on list says "Use Handset"? scroll to it & hit ok.
Call will end over car sound system & transfer to your cell phone.
Worked perfect for me on my Motorola v710.

Update: Call won't stay connected to handset, car will search
for the phone & reconnect it back over to the car system.
Anyone know how to correct this??

Click http://www.bmwusa.com/bmwexperience/...ury.htm?id=149 then click on the Bluetooth microsite.
Sorry Phil, I see now that you are in Australia. That site probably will not help.

I saw there is a carkit software posted in the PalmOne site for the Treo, so you have to installed that in order for phone to work with the car or just the buletooth inself is ok?

I have a Cingular (GSM) Treo 650, anyone have experience pairing it with the E90? Any firmware update needed ?

Thanks

I'm using the unlocked GSM Treo 650 with the latest (for unlocked GSM) 1.13 firmware. No carkit software installed. I see there is now a 1.15 firmware for Cingular posted a few days ago. I don't have any experience with the Cingular, but I would try it with the new 1.15 firmware first before trying any carkit software.
