There is no lag with the Dinan tune. I had a Juicebox owner tell me the Dinan tune was smoother overall than his car. He had a JB3 in fact. The Juicebox had a little more pick up on the end but the Dinan had more mid-range punch. Those are from someone who has driven both cars.

I have had no problems with my car BUT if you are looking for the absolute most hp out of your car than a Dinan tune is not your thing. I would get a V3 tune or something that pushes it a little farther. For the record, you won't feel the power difference that much while driving both of those cars but you will see it on the dyno.

If you are keeping the car for 4 years than Dinan might be your thing for the warranty. My issue is that I am all legit right now but I want to go faster already. I am working on wheels/tires and considering downpipes for the extra hp/tq. An M3 is not too hard to beat with the mods we have available for our car.

I would go for the flash. In theory a piggyback is capable to perform & behave as good as a flash. In real life only the ECU-flash met my expectations. I tried PROcede V1, PROcede V2, JB2H and AA Active processor before.

Lots of power, good milage, not a single limp mode or CEL. No device, just new ECU software ( and not limited to physical I/O's on piggybacks ). Piggyback tunings are emulators, ECU software is the source. Skip the emulator layer .

FYI: jb3 is finishing beta tests with a new map the increases low and mid range torque. although this current new map is one itīs way to me now, i believe it is near finishing the beta test phase and should be released quite soon to the public.

....all indications from the current beta testers is that the new map is great!

I guess my answer to that is why buy something that isn't ready to go in your car yet?

According to Terry, he is trying to release the new map around 10/10 - 10/15

The wait is driving me insane

If you have the money, get the M3, otherwise do you research and get either JB3 w/ the new maps or Dinan. IC, DP's, full exhaust, perhaps better oil cooler.

The 335 can be made to compete with the M3, but it handles very well, power is not the only consideration.

1/ if u help to beta test, u r not really buying anthing.
2/ also, some of us cannot wait for more performance, so we jump into the beta program to get first dibs, and to help out terry.

of course, i would not even think of doing this unless i trusted terry immensely.... but he has has never let me (or us as far as i know) down yet.

I've beta tested JB3 1.05 and 1.1. All I can say it feels like adding another JB3 down low compared to 1.0 on a otherwise stock N54.

Seriously, the JB3 and Procede are good tunes. I think the JB3 is a better deal for the money. The procede is approaching Dinan stage 2 costs to own. That was something that didn't sit well with me. The Dinan tune is very smooth and has a good midrange punch to it. It does turn down the boost after 5500 rpms for engine life though so it won't win the drag races quite as much.

I see lots of posts about codes being read for Procedes though. The install isn't fun either on those. Dinan isn't the fastest but you will likely have very little issues that you have to troubleshoot after you flash the car. I know my car has been fine since getting it done.
