More Pics of my E91, Exterior, Interior with "xenon" lights at night
Here's some new pics of my car.
Along with the aluminum pedals, I've also installed the Bimmian "xenon" lighting kit, and I must say that I really like what it does for the interior. The "xenon" color really looks good on the aluminum IMO.

The reading lights don't bother me as a driver nearly as much with the color temperature, and I think that reading would still be possible with them, but everyone's eyes are different. If I even have a chance I will get a light meter and do a test for lumens between the stock and "xenon's". You could alway leave the reading lights stock. Again, I really like the atmosphere the "xenon's" help create, they compliment the modern design of the interior IMO

Wow chitown, your car is looking great...the is one hot e91. When are you getting rid of the roof rails?
How easy was the installations of the interior xenons lights?

Thanks.
Funny you should ask about the rails. I'm going back and forth about it right now. I don't want to spend $600+ to have the dealer take them off. So......... I've been considering taking a sawz-all and cutting them off myself. Then use a dremel to remove the rest. I already have the new trim with no holes ready to go. It's pretty crazy, but I feel pretty confident about it, I have some ways to protect the paint in the areas I'll be working on. I guess I'm just planning and building up some cofidence. When I do it, I'll be sure to take some vids and pics. The lights were fairly easy to install, and they came with nice instructions.

Ouch Chitown...sounds painful..and drastic. The roof rails are secured from under the roof, right? So if you saw it off, that would leave a lot of loose parts rolling around in your headliner? Also would you be able to install the replacement trim pieces?
The xenon lights package is about $60, they look fairly easy to install...thinking about it It has to come after my PMBs and fog light bulbs...

an idea: let's say you spend the $600 bucks to remove them professionally, maybe you can take the rails on your next trip to Europe and hawk them there....offsetting some of the costs while you're there you can swap out your US lights for euro lights as well....

I hear you, but the problem is it might cost quite a bit more. They quoted an estimated 5 hours of labor. Maybe it will take 8 hours. $125/hr
That would be too much. It's quite drastic, I don't know what I'm going to do.

Looks Great! I wonder how it would look to replace most of the bulbs with the bimmian bulbs and leave the reading lights stock? Hmm...
