Exclamation JB3 1.0v or 1.1v on there post 29.2

just wanted to get an idea of how many PRE 29.2 people are running a JB3 1.1v or 1.0v map (post 29.2) on there cars.

was thinking about doing this since i wanna be extra safe and if i get updated down the road i dont have to upgrade.

the differences i have found between the POST and PRE JB3 is

PRE vs POST JB3, POST JB3 or 1.0v/1.1v:

-More agressive solenoid duty
-Remap of the fuel pump to increase AFR( 1.1v is now richer then 1.0v AFR wise) "The fuel pressure is remapped as a function of boost and expected fuel trims. So basically only at wide open throttle"-Terry(fuel pressure remap only happesn at WOT)
-Little less WTQ(est 10WTQ)

i might have missed some stuff but that is what i found for now.

p.s. a little someting while i was reading.

ANYONE who is wants to know if they have POST 29.2 on there car. if you install a PRE 29.2 JB3 or 1.0/1.1 map, and have a 29.2 car,

"It will throw cel/limps as the ECU tries to keep torque below internal limits. If you have pre 29.2 then you can run the pre 29.2 map, and switch the chip later if needed."-Terry

so if your throwing CEL/Limps with a 1.0/1.1 you more then likely have a POST 29.2+

I'm pretty sure that my car is pre 29.2 but I'm still getting the 1.1v for the same reasons you posted above.

I rather be safe and I will be ready once my car is updated, which I think it's going to be pretty soon since I'm taking my car to the dealer due to some issues with the radio/bluetooth unit.

There are a couple test cars using this right now, and the JB3's that come with it just started shipping late last week so not too many people have it yet... Just sit tight and im sure we will see some reviews of it soon enough

i guess your right. thats what im waiting for right now. us pre 29.2 guys if we do go 1.1v or 1.0v, we dont need the agressive solenoid duty since we donty really have bad lag, dont really care for less TQ esp 5-10wtq, and i wanna see how the remapped fuel pressure works on our cars pre 29.2 aswell.

p.s. your e90 is no joke.

I've got pre 29.2 and running 1.0v...and eventually 1.1v (once beta testing is complete and it's released).

I've already brought it in for my 15k service w/o having them update the software (SA was accomodating in just changing my oil and topping off fluids).

I'm assuming I'll have to sooner or later get the most recent software down the line.

BTW, if you got pin out, did you use the grey loom? I connected it just in case, even though it stated if you have pre 29.2, you can skip it.
