My 335 step hitting the rev limiter!
YES , an automatic hitting the rev limiter ! Happened to me twice already in sport mode shifting from first to second . Now for my mods - JB3 , BMC drop in filter and just this last week I started mixing 91 and 100 octane . I fill 6.5 gallons 100 and 5 gallons 91 .I tell you , high octane made a realy big difference on my car .If you can afford it,highly recomend it ! It pulls like a freight train .

Are you bouncing off the rev limiter? The computer instantly shifts once i hit redline. If its not shifting and its bouncing off the limiter i'd take it in asap.

No , I wouldn't say bouncing but hitting the rev limiter . It did it after I started using higher octane . The Rpm races thru first gear so fast now , it peels out thru first into almost all of second ! First time it did it , I thought that the DTC was still on which it wasn't .

i've had this happen if i don't have traction in my old 328ci. I think it's normal as the computer doesn't shift if you don't have traction even close to redline...actually i think i've had this happen with procede v1.47 as well

Its happened to me on SSTT and JB2 as well. I think the tranny computer gets confused about shifts when traction is lost and RPM's shoot up. You can get the same effect with a fully stock engine with all traction controls off, burning out in water, for instance.
