Didn't have the energy to write down the story yesterday evening, but here it is:

We arrived at the Ring at about 11.45 AM: the weather was cloudy and we had some rainfall on the Autobahn near Cologne, we only could do 110/120mph there. 15degrees celsius. But the sun came through a bit.
First of all: Andre's 130i M and my 330i drive exactly 261kmh on the gauges(162,21mph)limited. Our friend Stanley had his excellent GPS with him. 261=250kmh IRL. Beyond 200kmh/125mph the BMW gauges are getting a bit inaccurate, but 147kmh=147kmh GPS, 100kmh=99 on the GPS.So FWIW.

Ok, it was TVR day at the parking lot(Parkplatz), yesterday, many many UK people there with TVR Griffiths, Tuscans, Chimeras, T350C's. EXCELLENT! And many UKers with motorbikes too. Talked to a friendly guy with a TVR Sagaris 1100kgs and 406BHP straight six potter, no ABS/DTC/DSC whatever. And a lot of GT3(RS)Porkers as well(but they're always there). A few M3/CSLs(like 15/20 LOL) but not as much as last october.

First lap. First 2/3 of the lap I was going very well and clean(first lap that day) but then it happened: At 'HOHE ACHT bend'(3dr gear lefthander downwards) I saw a E36 M3 with his danger lights on driving backwards. I slowed down and in the bend was the biker lying/hanging next to his bike with another person next to him. His helmet was off and his head was full of blood, he looked more dead than alive looking into his eyes..... The guy next to him shouted to get HELP ASAP. but the guy in the E36 already did that......Dunno what happened to the poor guy. I drove my last 1/3 of the lap with this accident in my mind. The track was closed for 1 hour or so.

The following laps(the last one with a bit rain and a little wet surface) there weren't many bikes left on the track. The wet lap was great and smooth. This track is SO bloody great. :rocks: I want to buy a small house there

About the meet. We were with about 10 persons, I met some friends there, but no E90 posters. I saw maybe 4 E90s(from Belgium) and a Luxemburg E91 as I recall. And I saw a blue E90 330i with amber blinkers. a few guys and a girl standing next to it and one of them had a M3 E46. I asked them if they knew E90post. They were like what's an E90?
They were military from the USA living in Germany. The girl asked how I could tell they were from the USA. I told them about the amber blikers. She went:WOW(cute girl )

OK last but not least.Looking around at the parking lot almost parked 'secretly' next to my 330i. The babyblue RUF RT12 AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! The one and only. 650BHP biturbo lightweight RWD. Carbonfibre everywhere, very subtle detals, not a monster. We took pics. 360kmh topspeed(224mph)
Here is a small movie:
http://www.autoblog.nl/pivot/entry.php?id=2922

And this is the car in amber. We saw it in babyblue:

There was a guy getting something out of the car.I asked him what & how. This was Alois Rufs RT12(the general DIREKTOR of the small car manufacturer near Munich) and there are a handfull now on the road. Stefan Roser(the guy who drove the yellow CTR sideways around the Ring some 15 years ago)testdriver for RUF, is coming today with another RT12 to shoot some movies with that car at the Nordschleife for www.auto-motor-sport.de, the famous carmag.

Our pictures and movies will follow soon.

I'm the small guy

Those 2 Peugeots 106 are capable of speeds in excess of 130mph!They're friends of mine:

And here you can find more pics of yesterday:

Hey Robin,

The Ti E90 you posted here is me driving.
I was there yesterday, I noticed your car, but I never saw anybody near the car.
Was a nice day yesterdag. Few drivers and no waiting to get on or off the track.
Only did 10 laps, but I was very pleased to find the car so composed, fast and forgiving.
I think I will return very soon
