Great fix

I would have never thought to look for this fix, luckily someone bumped it to the top. So I will too. Worked great!

I have extra film if anyone wants some, PM me.

I cut mine a little bigger and slipped it right on top of the existing screen, no disassembly.

Thanks!

Excellent tutorial! Just did it a few minutes ago. Seems like they changed their minimum order since you ordered because I was able to get my order through only with the film. I didn't need to buy anything extraneous.

Cheap, easy, and it sure beats looking like a pigeon when you want to know what's on the radio,

Cheers,
Alex

Pure genius. Thanks for post. Just did mine, and as others have mentioned... The one I ordered didn't have a sticky side, so I just cut it a little longer and it slid behind the black molding around the display.

Where were you 4 years ago?? This is amazing. Driving with polarized lenses is a MUST! Now I can drive safely and not have to rotate my head 90 degrees to read my radio.

Smile This is the fix!!! - Half-Wave Plate Retarder Film (WFLA-OG2)

OK... this is the fix. Here is everything you need to do this yourself and fix this stupid problem once and for all:

This is the film that you need to buy (WFLA-OG2 Half-wave plate retarder film):

Here is where you buy it: http://www.polarization.com/polarsho...products_id=44

Download this template to size your piece: http://www.zumodrive.com/share/ceIiNzgwYj

Cut your piece of film at a 45 degree angle (6-1/8" x 5/8") using the template. Easy-peasy.

Slip the piece of film into your radio display. Super easy-peasy.

Shoot me a thank you when you're done.

P.S. I have a bit of film left, so if you want to buy a piece from me I will sell it to you to help defray my cost. Shoot me a private message.

Which one should I get? There is one that is $34 and one that is only $10. If the one that is $10 will do the job I'll get it, but I don't mind spending the $34 if there is a reason to go that route.
