Here are the photo's I promised.
They were all taken in the rain (It's been rainning since my car arrived) so I hope you like them. Check out the last picture, it was taken at night to show how the door handles light up - I think this is a great feature!!! My combination = Mystic Blue, Lemon leather, Light Poplar Wood Trim, Sun protection System (Dark Tint to all back windows) Last edited by Stuy; 10-24-2005 at 09:27 PM.. |

I just got back from a 9 hr straight drive from Spartanburg to Columbia, MD. I am exhausted because I had to focus a lot on driving because of this shitty rain. I did take lots of pics and I will post them, I promise! First, I need to figure out how to post them on this site.

Here's a few to get started. In the first one, you can peep out my baby inside the right side window. I tried to capture all of the diffrerent dimensions and the complex texture of the color. It really is beautiful and these pictures (as nice as they are ) still do not do the color justice. On my way home, people were staring at my car. I do not regret getting this color one bit.

I'll post my PCD and trip back in the main forum. I'll do that tomorrow since I need some rest now to get up for work in the morning. Glad you guys enjoy the pics; but like I have stated many of times on this website, the pictures do not do the color justice. Actually, I didn't even want to post the pics because others might want to get Mysitc Blue and it wouldn't be as "rare" as it is now.

Nice pics , thanks.
Interesting a lot shinier and metallic than the car I saw at the dealership. Maybe yours is newly prepped and washed for delivery.

I drove home in the rain, so my baby is a little dirty. Let me wash her and then I'll take some nice shots to post.

Awesome pics! Congrats...
I'm looking to order within the next week and have narrowed my color choice down to TiAg or mystic blue. Unfortunately, no local dealers have the e90 in mystic. They do have a used e46 that is labelled as mystic blue - I assume it is, but can anyone confirm the colors are identical between models? I'd guess BMW uses the same color names between models regularly... BTW - both the indoor and outdoor pics look awesome, but the indoor pics (because of the lighting differences no doubt) show the color a little lighter or with a little more gray color to them (well, they look a little different, I can't really describe how). I know that its very difficult to capture colors accurately in photos, so would you say either of the sets (indoor or outdoor) more accurately reflect the color you see in person? Thanks! |

What you see here is what you'll see in person, ie. the lighting is a big variable. Outside it is as blue as the outside pics, while it looks darker in lower lighting. I find that my outside pics are very accurate of the true color of my car, while the inside pics are a tad darker than in person. And it is much more mettalic in person, than what you see in the inside pics.

Thanks for the info... I was set on TiAg until recently (have a silver car now and love both the look and its ability to hide dirt), but these recent photos of mystic have me in a quandry...
Good luck with your new ride, and keep posting pics! |
