I am looking for air bag Bracket ASAP - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I just bought M sport wheel and air bag ...just found out M sport wheel I got from Ebay did not come with air bag Bracket (the metal between air bag and wheel ) cause'' my non sport air bag bracket could not be use on new wheel ...anyone has one for sale ...thanks

ahahah....marcus is on the same boat as you. but he is smart. he dont want to buy anyting until he get the bracket. dealer will not sell them to you.

If you have the non sport wheel (like me) dont you also need the sport airbag as well. What good does the M-Sport wheel and bracket do you without the airbag?

I would really like to know becuase I would love the M-Sport in place if my reg (non sport) one.

To change a non sport steering wheel to an M-sport you need:

1. Airbag bracket (comes with the steering wheel if you buy it from the dealer)..542.38
2. Of course: AIRBAG.......803.52
3. Multifunction buttons.... 26.00
4. M sport steering cover..117.18

total cost to get this: $1489.38..to get a sport package from the dealer when you order your car: $1600.00

If you have the extra $$ to spend to achieve this mod: Priceless!!

awesome! did you get the parts from your dealership or from that guy at ebay?
I went to my local dealership and they say that this bracket is not sold separately, it comes with the steering wheel. I guess we have to wait for a totaled car in the junkyard

Airbag and Msteering wheel got from Ebay ....other parts at my local dealer ...............anyway I am not gonna wait I will place an order for Msteering at my dealer tomorrow. and am going to sell the one without bracket what I got from ebay anyone interesting????

I was just thinking from reading all the posts here in this forum, there have been a few totalled e90s (on eBay), not to mention the one that crashed in Houston following that police chase. Might not be a bad idea to have a junkyard do a computer search for a totalled e90. Chances are, the airbags have deployed and an otherwise seemingly useless metal bracket may be available.

There used to be tons of wrecking yards in Wilmington. If they're still there, they could have a bracket shipped out from wherever they locate one.
