Tischer BMW/getBMWparts.com - OEM BMW Illuminated 6sp M Shift Knobs! + FREE SHIPPING!

Tischer BMW/getBMWparts.com is proud to offer the OEM BMW Illuminated 6sp M Shift Knobs! Price is only 99.50 and includes Free Ground Shipping! (US only) *Flatrate to Canada is 25.00 via USPS.

These knobs, unlike the E46 version, do NOT come with an attached shift boot...making them perfect for adding onto the E9x's!!! The knob does come with the wiring, but will need retrofitted onto your vehicle -- you'll have to tap a power source (we recommend the cig. lighter/console area) and cut/modify you existing shift boot if you have a sports shift knob w/ attached boot. A new OEM BMW black leather shift boot can be added to your order by adding part # 25117530223 to your cart.

To purchase this knob, or any of our great specials, just visit the E90/91/92/93 3 Series section of our BMW Accessories/Specials catalog here!!!

Special thanks to txusa03 for the pics!

Very nice... does the engaged gear light up differently? Also, is this knob shorter than a stock shifter? Judging by the pics, it looks a bit long.

The knob is an OEM Z4M coupe/roadster factory component. It's equivilent in size and function to the E46 M3 illuminated shift knob, and does not light up differently per gear engaged.

No to first answer. I like to say they are the same length as stock but I will create a DIY with comparison photos when I get free time.

Nice photos Evan

Check it out, got the DIY posted here:http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=183227

I don't think it is that difficult to do for some extra LED cool factor Also, shifting with this knob is much easier on the wrist then with the Mtech knob.

Free bump for the day...

honestly I don't believe it is weighted and definitely lighter compared to the ///M-tech knob.

I believe Tischer sells the new M3 knob as well but it comes attached with the boot and the boot opening are different from non M3 visually. But maybe someone can prove me wrong on this.

I am not saying you can't because I have not tried it myself. You can certainly more then welcome to buy the new M3 knob/boot and try it yourself and let us know. Either way, you gonna still need to connect some wires for the illumination. Why not get this one with peace of mind that it does fit. This is cheaper then the new M3 with boot.

Guys, the new E9x M3 illuminated knob/boot does not fit onto the non-M's.....the cutout in the console is a bit smaller on the M3's. This is why we put this knob that doesn't come w/ a boot on special...so you can use your existing boot.

I'm sure it could be done, but not without a little tweaking. IMHO, it's not much different than this knob, so it may not be worth risking possible damage to your console/purchasing and attempting to install the M3 knob to no avail.
