E92 19'' Wheels

now we all know that CSL wheels, 9.5'' at the back do not fit onto an E92 cos they rub the arch, but, this fella has breyton 19'' 9.5 rears on, howcome they fit? is it an offset thing? i rang tirerack in America and although they were only able to speak about US spec cars, they seemed to think that on 330 E92 the 19'' breytons with the 9.5 rear wheel fit absolutely fine. Assuming that this is an offset thing, would these breytons fit a UK E92?
anybody know?

They sell them here specially for E92, maybe drop them an email and make sure.

Which CSL wheels are you referring to? We have 19x9.5 et33 rear wheels which will fit fine on an e92. Most 265/30/19's will fit without an issue on stock height cars. once you start lowering your car, you will have to pay attention to the shoulder profile of the tire, roll fenders, or may even have to go down in tire width to prevent rubbing.

+1 Agreed on that one

We'll obviously both be here to help out, so ask away if you have any questions OP

i am referring to the OEM BBS CSL wheels, apparently they are just too wide for the rear arch!

The E90 must have slightly wider arches than the E92 then!?!?

Okay, I think there is some confusion as to how offset and width are relative to each other. The reason the OEM CSL wheels have a chance of fitting on a E90 is because the E90 has wider rear guards/fenders than a E92. The offset of the OEM CSL is too aggressive for a E92 to run without some sort of rolling or pulling of the guards/fenders to fit. OEM CSL rear wheels are 19x9.5 ET27, while the most aggressive offset a E92 rear fender/guard can handle without any modification is approximately 9.5 ET33. Those 6mm may not seem like much, but it's the difference between rubbing and a rub-free fit.

So zedman, if you have a E92, I'd suggest going with our VB3 in 19x9.5 ET33. This will give you the exact same look for a lot less than OEM CSL wheels cost. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Yes mate, Ant is, indeed, quite correct, as it was me that he was talking about. He supplied me with the wheels, and once fitted they started to rub on the rears almost straight away.

To Ant`s credit, we were both concerned even before I drove it away that there may be rubbing issues, and he agreed to buy them back off me, at a slightly reduced price, if this proved to be the case.

True to his word, he did buy them straight back off me when they rubbed.

Top man, is Ant !

Anyway, here`s a pic of mine with them on.............

And yes, I do want to cry about it, as I now have 18` M-Sport MV3`s on, and whilst a nice wheel, they just don`t do if for me like the CSL`s.....

I would also agree completely with this info from VMRWheels, as well, as myself and Ant compared my E92 right next to his E90, and the rear wings on the E90 simply have more room underneath them for the CSL`s.

Ant has the CSL`s on his own Speed Religion E90, and they look fantastic and fit nicely.

Unfortunately, we do not have any stocking dealers in the UK, but we do ship internationally. PM or email me with what you'd like and I can get you a price quote.

Hi,

I also have an e92 with M-Sport suspension - currently fitted with the BMW 225M alloys 8J x 19 Front and 9J x 19 Rear. I like the look of your VMR CSL reps in 8.5 and 9.5J and want a wide look (with the deeper dish at the rear) but I definitely don't want rubbing issues or to have to get involved in rolling the fenders.

Could you tell me what F/R offsets and what tyre sizes were used on the e92 featured on your website and were any body mods necessary?

Couple more questions:
Do your wheels accept the OEM BMW centre caps and 'M' badges?

What type of finish is on the wheels - paint/lacquer or powder coat?

Thanks in advance

I PMed answer all your questions.

But to answer for everyone here:

Offsets on the car above are 19x8.5 +40 front 235/35/19 and 19x9.5 +33 rear 265/30/19

No body modifications necessary.

Our wheels accept OEM BMW center caps, and OEM BMW M-badges. OEM lugbolts should be used as well.

The finish on our wheels are painted.
