E90 Straight Pipe codes?

If I do a muffler delete will I get codes on my e90? Eventually?
I have been reading posts for about 5 days now and it seems like a consistent "Eventually you will cause its straight piped." Answer.

Just wanted to ask everyone's experience.

If you're just talking muffler delete, no. If you delete the cats, yes.

There are no O2 sensors anywhere near the muffler. I would make sure the vacuum line for the exhaust flap is capped off however.

You got your answer.

No, a muffler delete will not cause any codes.

no, just removing your muffler on an n52 will not give any code. removing the resonator is also safe to do, even both secondary catalytic converters. but the primary cats do have o2 sensors attached so removing those will throw a code.
