Nope, there shouldn't be any temperature restrictions with the aFe. Your car will actually run better in colder weather, more cold air

colder air = more power and less traction... what could possibly go wrong

Here in sunny Southern California, it never gets too cold... but I can understand the concern for oiled filters in subzero weather... like cold enough for hot coffee to freeze in mid air when spilled. K&N can probably answer this question about oiled filter materials in arctic conditions.

Doesnt the N54 limit boost the colder it gets? since the engine can make that set power easier in colder weather, the car limits boost.

As far as your intake is concerned...and the filter...there is no real temperature barrier. I think that the only concern you should have is your car starting in general in super cold weather. The intake will not be the limiting factor in cold temps

In chicago, temps can reach the same...car runs like a champ

Skip the afe...get some dual cones and save yourself a few hundred...yes, the AFE looks more polished, I agree. but I think if anything has been proven, its that these intakes all produce roughly similar gains...(just depends whether you care about perfect looking fit/finish, or the more racer dual cone look )
