ZSG Replacing SMG/

Anyone hear about this at all. I know they have discontinued the current SMG I and have heard rumors of a replacement in Jan of 06'. This ring any bells?

I bet it is most likely dual clutch :rocks:

Yeah well it better be a dual-clutch system if they expect to compete with Audi's DSG. Wow that is one seriously cool transmission. Drive an A3 with DSG and see for yourself. Puts everything else to shame.

The SMG is just not available in the USA, the rest of the world still gets it, and europe gets it on the E90 in September

The new dual clutch ZSG gearbox is supposed to be launched in Europe late next year with the 335i

BMW hasnt said what will happen to SMG

it will obviously be gone... simple as that.. why would they keep it around
