Wiper replacement during first year. Canada
I noticed in some threads that some people got their wipers replaced in the first year under the "adjustment period." I took my car into BMW Gallery yesterday and asked them to change my wipers (they are streaking) under the adjustment period warranty. They said there is no such thing.
Anybody know if it is a dealership thing, or is it an actual warranty. Funny thing is that they change two burnt out bulbs for free. Are bulbs not a consumable item?

I think the confusion happens because wiper blades are covered under the warranty for cars purchased in the US, but not for those bought in Canada. However, some Cdn dealers will replace them anyway, just because they want you to come back the next time you are looking for a new car.

I recently went to Calgary BMW and spoke to them about my rear wiper streaking. It was eventually replaced at my expense. Never had free wipers in the years I have driven BMW's.

in vancouver,
There is the adjustment period. I found out last week when I took the car in for service asking for a HB adjustment. I got rejected and they wanted to charge me for $80. They said it would be free within the first year. |

The BMW Store's documents does say they provide a squeaks and rattle warranty (or something to that effect) for the first year.
