Short Review: Riss Racing Air Scoops

So far these are the best priced scoops on the market so far.

Install: 8/10..The install took a little longer than usual. One of the bolts did not fit properly into the hole. I had to run to the hardware store and pick up a pair but other than that the installation without the bolt suprise took about 15 min.

Build Quality: 9/10.. best bang for the buck in my opinion. They were very sturdy and not cheap at all. It would have been cool if they factored in that water slit. The painting job was top notch (I went for the black).

Price: 10/10.. again the cheapest and well built scoops on the market right now! I know I could have made these at home for like 5 bucks BUT I just dont have the time or the patience to do this

Performance: 10/10.. This product, by no means, adds any kind of significant power. They are a great addition ot any intake that uses the factory snorkel or modded snorkel ala AFE (which I have) or The Riss Racing intake.

Once installed I took her out for a little spin. The car just seemed to breathe a lot better. Granted I have to bring her up to speed to feel anything. After a short "gun" and passing 3k RPM the car pulled and pulled. It just felt smoother over-all...

Over-all: 9.25/10.. if you're on the fence for a scoop these should be your choice. Excellent product over-all.. good job guys!!!

thanks for the great reviews. i haven't seen many people post about the Riss Racing air scoops but i'm very interested. my only worry is the lack of rain slit.. so if it's raining/pouring outside, wouldnt the water get lead to the intake much more easily?

I believe there might be a water drain hole in the air box.

Do you have any pics of the scoops?

There is one.

The one issue I have seen with scoops is the increased amount of dirt and trash in the airbox. People should open it an vacuum perdiodically.

Swoop scoops has a slit for water as well.. I dont think hydro-lock would be a problem as the filters would need to be completely submersed in water ir the fender mounted filters etc... I will post some pics up asap

My intentions were to go with Swoopscoopes to work with my SE Drop in panel filter & stock airbox along with JB3 1.2.

Swoopscoops would be the best for you then. Go to the Sponsor section.. I believe Cyba (who is a reliable seller) is selling some scoops that are slitted for water
