H7 MTEC kit vs XTREME HID kit

As far as I could gather, there are two HID kits that are error free: MTEC and XTREME (XenonDepot). I know that XTREME requires resistors to be error free, but what about MTEC? Can anybody also share experiences with the installation of them and which one is more reliable? I am planning to try out H7 upgrade and see if it's possible to achieve an acceptable cut off. Any other suggestions? OEM retrofit is way too expensive - about 2K in parts to begin with..., so it's not an option.

I like the mtec but at almost 300 i'd go with the xenon depot kit ($230ish). I had the 3500k kit and it was stunning

Where to purchase

Where is a reliable place to buy either of these kits. Specifically the mtec kit. Could someone post a link for where to buy?

If the Xtreme kit requires a resistor, then it's more of a universal application kit. Not exactly a direct plug and play setup for your E90.

The MTEC HID kits are specifically designed to work properly on the European cars (Audi, BMW, Mercedes) since these cars are highly sensitive to aftermarket electronics.

Garage List

I just got a 3000k kit not long ago. Error free. At 1st i didnt like the color but now it settled in abit more its perfect. I installed it myself. Very easy.
If you want to save money go with my kit if not go with the Mtech kit.
I wanted Mtech but 100$+ extra was way to much for me.
