5.5 hours that would equates to $550-600 for labor alone.

Seems like the PDF listed here is for adaptive lights from what it reads.

For now, I just ended up Professionally wiring a set of Xenons for my own car using Butt connectors and tying directly into the factory harness connectors (Helps being a network engineer with an electrical degree). Can't even tell that it was converted by looking at it! Tested em out with no errors and doing the permanent install this weekend. I will make sure to document whole procedure for anyone interested.

I WILL attempt the FULL OEM retrofit when the weather gets warmer, I have a lead on a guy that sells the wiring kit from BMW, but then you have to find the foot control unit and the headlight switch used as if you buy them new it is like 400-600 dollars just for those parts.

Please upload your results! After reading all the xenon convertion threads, I just get more confused than ever! If someone gets ALL OEM PARTS(housing, bulbs, ballast...), and just replace the halegon, would that be error freee, or what else you need to do to get them working and stable(I do not need the adaptive function, just need them light up and no error).Thanks.

I did not realize you have to take off the bumper and all the other issues. I was going to buy these http://www.carid.com/2007-bmw-3-seri...ml#fullInfoTab and do a plug and play. I guess not.

I've got a set of bi-xenon adaptive headlights with the factory ballasts and factory modules that I want to convert/use in my halogen car. I don't care about the adaptive part (ride height and that they turn into the direction car pointed). I just want them to work in my car. I've read the threads on this type of conversion, but was wondering if you could use the factory harness you used and whether it would cause any errors if I don't get a new footwell module.

Mike, do you have pictures of the work you did to tie into factory harness? I'd prefer not to have to cut wires if possible. My car is a e90 build date 02/07. What is your build date (I note that it seems to matter if the car is 02/07 and earlier vs. 03/07 and later. The 02/07 builds are KCAN or something like that and the 03/07 builds are DCAN.
