My dealer called me today - 08 E92. Said it was something wiring related, but can't believe it's the same recall and they've just been so slack as not to call me by now.

Has anyone been able to find out any detail as to the problem?

Assuming that it is the same as the recall work I had on my 08MY 335D Touring a few weeks ago, the problem related to the wiring loom at the back of the centre console.

Pin 18 (I think it is 18) is wired when it shouldn't be. This can result in the pin going live which in turn can cause the brake lights or headlights to illuminate on their own.

The fix is to remove the wire from this pin.

This could I suppose lead to a flat battery as stated earlier so sounds like it might be the same thing.

I had that "product service enhancement" carried out on the E93 last Autumn, took them about twenty minutes, I had barely had time to drink my cup of coffee.......

Mine too is a November 2007. But I have the E90, so wonder if it only affects E92
