[Prowess Symphony]

Looking for a quality place to put my tips on. Also id like to find a shop that has lots of tips for me to look at before I decide on the style. Suggestions? Thanks

Yes yes yes please. I was worried that I would have an extra set of tips sitting around. Ive got picks of them installed. Only been using them for like a week or two.

Ronaldo's Muffler and Brake Service. I had a custom-built exhaust made from scratch from this place (with my previous car). They created everything from my downpipe to installing the cat, glasspack, and mufflers. All were very cleanly welded together and the welds never broke and never developed leaks or rust. I searched all over MD and these guys did an exceptional job and they treat their customers right.

Thanks ill look into them. Ive called a bunch of places but most wont even tell me if they have any tips in stock or an estimate of how much changing tips costs.

+1. That's where I had my DiMisa Tips welded on for $80. The next day I noticed one tip stuck out more than the other, but I was able to go back to his shop and have him fix it for free. He's definitely a viable option.

I went to a local shop just to check it out. First they said that they had to put the car on a lift, and wouldnt look at the tips without it on the lift. Then the mechanic says that a 3.5 inch tip would NOT fit on the 335. I said that 4 inch tips fit and he said I was lying. They refused to put any tips on, and said that for $190 they would put on 3 inch tips which I already have. lol. Awful place.

Yeah, that's been my experience at most places in MD anywhere from near DC to all the way up to Ellicot City. Never wanted to venture much further. Not sure why exhaust/weld places are so crappy around here and overpriced (well, overpriced makes more sense for the DC area). My guess is most of the good welders are in construction or something. Good luck just don't get screwed by one of these crap places, they'll do it in a heartbeat.

Im ordering my tips this week and will get them installed once they get here. Im still looking for a shop close by that will do it. The muffler shops around here are really awful and dont seem to have a clue. Im scared to let them touch my car!

Ill be going to Tonys custom exhaust to get my tips put on. Ive searched around and cant find anywhere decent. At least ive had some dealings with tony and know what to expect.

Its actually quite far from me. But lots in my gti club go there and ive been there a few times with no issues. "The devil you know...."

Im going tomorrow to get my tips put on.
