explain to me e90 2005

I'm here looking for a m-sport bodykit for a 2005 e90 (my friends), and all i see is 06-08, but why? The body didn't change until its LCI facelift am i wrong?

someone explain to me why, even this e90post section claims 2006-2011, i have familiarised myself about bmw in depth for about nearly 2 years now and i am confused

The e90 body hit the US and NA in the 06 model year. I think it may have hit as an 05 MY in some other markets.
I believe that may be the source of the confusion.

This. Manufacturing year is 2005 but given model year is 2006-2008.
