Question halos And Hid Questions Please Help

Ok i have a white e93 335i cabrio im guna put HIDs in the fogs i dunno wat k yet, either 6000k(pure White) or 3000K(Golden Yellow)? I saw some pics of other e92/e93 with white hids in the fogs on the internet it looks average like alittle boring no offense to others. and if i put the golden yellow i want the halos to match i was wonder if i could put hyper yellow bulbs in the halos, just wondering if thats even possible and if thats a good idea. Please help tanks. oh yea can any1 tell me the exact size of the halos bulb tanks.

Ya man, halos like yellow 3K on the internet wasn't az boring as HID 6K. Last time check the halo size it was about the size of my thumb, the left one, it's a bit bigger than the right one. I have a white one too btw.

If you want them to match the stock lights, I believe the stock color is 4300K. This seems to be most manufacturer's standard as it provides the most usable light. I would guess BMW with their performance slant would use this as their standard as well. I would go with this vs. the other colors you mentioned so they match and you get the most out of them. Some like the super white look of 6000k which has a pale blue to it. If you go that way, I'd change the stock low beam bulbs to match. Yellow just looks cheesy and doesn't help performance any. I had a used Jeep with Yellow fog lights, High quality PIAA, and they were useless in all conditions vs. white.

You have highly paid engineers designing these machines and are you saying that aftermarket light manufacturers know better? I can cut and paste some literature that confirms that humans react differently to yellow vs white light. I'm pretty sure BMW engineers designed the color temperature based on years of safety research. Hmm.
Completely correct. Yellow light is superior than white for fog penetration.

Thanks,

It's purely aesthetic, just to make the car look better

I recommend matching a 6000k setup like what we have on our E92. These are the RDash LED Angel Eyes and 6000k D1S Bulbs.
