How much

I'm interested in this car, how much do you think it's worth?

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk...leRegLetter=56

It has to be one of the best specced 320si's out there.

Personally, I wouldn't pay more than 12k.

For M-Sport fully loaded, 14,5k is AUC price for that vehicle. List is about 12,3-13k when I checked last month.

Based on mileage if you can get it for 13,5k I think it would be a good purchase. I just paid just over 14 for mine and it has 20k more miles!

Oh, one edit. Mine is a diesel. So holds its price a little better. Say 12,8 to 13k then.

But what you may not have noticed is that the 320 petrol in question is an Si model, which intrinsically has more of a value to it than the regular MSport 320i, as the 320si is a homologation special with a different engine and specification.

As such, to a BMW enthusiast, I would imagine 14000 to be a reasonable price for a 320si in retail condition. I would start knocking chunks off that price if the wheels were kerbed in any way, for instance, as those 18" Si wheels are not your normal run-of-the-mill BMW wheels.

Tony, is there anything you don't know about BMW's?

The Si does indeed have a different engine but does that make it more desirable in the general second-hand market? I don't know but I'd be surprised if it did unless you find a buyer that specifically wants one. For the average punter who does not know the difference the difference they will notice is the reduced service intervals coupled with the expensive one when the tappets need adjusting. The normal 320i output is now near enough the same as the Si.

Anyway it is a nice car and for us enthusiasts more desirable than a regular 320i of the same age and spec.

I've had my CSL now 8 months and loved every minute of it
Been on track once in it and it was great fun. Don't have the time now
to do much track work.

That 320si has caught my eye and I am seriously tempted by it. I reckon it's worth between 12-13K.

From Glasses Guide:

Excellent condition 11850
Average condition 10650
Below average condition 9370
Retail 14150

I reckon you would get it for 13.5k

Personally, although I like the 320si, I think it's overpriced since you could pick up a 330i msport on a 06 plate for quite a lot less.
