The mid-week dates in Aug could be a bit of a problem, but other than that I don't have a problem with the dates suggested.

Off now to enjoy my new wheels...

Sorry Matt- I stuck the wrong dates in August- they should be all Saturdays.

Enjoy your ride!

Nope, but at 100+ psi they do feel a bit firm

Actually the tyres in the pic are the fully slick ones that came with the bike - and are cr@p. I've changed to some Continental GP3000's now that have a lovely red tread, are much more comfortable and are supposed to be more resistant to flats (the slicks were not).

It's been a pretty good weather wise, so I've manged to get 67miles in this week .

The first four times I rode my two-wheeler I ended up pushing it back home two miles because of flats; fortunately the terrain was, too. I ended up getting something called Mr. Tuffy that went between the tire and the tube and now the only air leak I encounter is through the valve.

Ok boys & girls, to make sure we end up having a meet to attend, we all need to start asking ourselves a few questions.

Here's a quick questionnaire which might make planning this next meet a little easier:

1 Which weekend are you going to be able to attend the meet?

July 22/23
July 29/30
Aug 05/06
Aug 19/20
Aug 26/27

2 Would you prefer a one- or a two-day event?

One day
Two day

3 Which central location do you think would be a good place to meet up, taking venue dates etc into account?

Location?

4 Are you likely to come on your own, or with others?

With partner
With friend(s)
With relatives

5 What do you fancy doing when we first meet up?

Having a good look at each others cars
Taking photos
Going somewhere for some food & drink
Having a barbeque
Going for a drive in a convoy to somewhere else

6 What else would you like to do on the first day?

Go out for a meal in the evening (curry, Chinese, Italian etc)
Go to a pub/pubs
Go nightclubbing
Karting during the day
Something else- what?

7 Would you want to stay overnight at a local B&B / hotel?

Yes
No

8 If you fancy continuing with the meet on the second day, what would you like to do?

Drive along a route as a convoy- where?
Arrange for a lunchtime meeting point- where?
Visit a specific location- where?
Someting else- what?

9 Would you be happy to contribute to any of the following, as a momento of the meet?

Number plate covers
t-shirt
BMW lanyard/ticket holder
Something else- what?

10 Is there anything else you'd like to say about planning for the Second UK Meet?

-

Thanks for your time.

Viv

That's a thought but I don't think my physique quite fits that one on the right; curves go the wrong way.

Also, I'd suggest putting the text on two lines and the venue in smaller letters across beneath the "E90Post.com".

Here's a quick questionnaire which might make planning this next meet a little easier:

1 Which weekend are you going to be able to attend the meet?

July 22/23 - nope
July 29/30 - yep
Aug 05/06 - nope
Aug 19/20 - yep
Aug 26/27 - nope

2 Would you prefer a one- or a two-day event?

One day

3 Which central location do you think would be a good place to meet up, taking venue dates etc into account?

Location?
Some nice countryside pub location. With some decent roads around for a drive. Somewhere in the Fens perhaps?

4 Are you likely to come on your own, or with others?

If I give him enough notice, with a mate who's just bought a 55 plate 330ci to keep him going until his E92 next year.

5 What do you fancy doing when we first meet up?

Having a good look at each others cars - yep
Taking photos - yep
Going somewhere for some food & drink
Having a barbeque - could work! though not if we meet at a pub.
Going for a drive in a convoy to somewhere else - yep

6 What else would you like to do on the first day?

Go out for a meal in the evening (curry, Chinese, Italian etc)
Go to a pub/pubs

7 Would you want to stay overnight at a local B&B / hotel?

Nope

8 If you fancy continuing with the meet on the second day, what would you like to do?

Visit a specific location- where? - <random> snowdome skiing?! </random>

9 Would you be happy to contribute to any of the following, as a momento of the meet?

Can't think of anything.

10 Is there anything else you'd like to say about planning for the Second UK Meet?

The T-shirt idea is an interesting one but I'm not sure I'd ever wear a T-shirt with E90post.com written in big letters on it (since I stopped wearing band t-shirts except for gigs - same principle). Something sporting an arty 3 series obscure detail shot may work though.

Like maybe, a T shirt with just the start/stop button on it, viewed straight on? It's bold and would almost pass for an abstract t-shirt design, those in the know would identify it, those not in the know may just think it was an original idea.

Interpretation for Floyd:

"Paul, my friend, I will be visiting London soon, so how do you fancy a night out for a few drinks, female accompaniment, illegal drug-induced enjoyment & some Asian cuisine?"

Damn! They didn't teach that in English class in high school. Spent too much time conjugating verbs and diagraming sentences.
