Hey, not to change the topic too much, but does anyone know any driving schools in the NoVA area that teach how to drive stick? I'm still 6 weeks or so away from getting my car, but in the meantime, my wife has been reading the 3-series brochure. She is getting excited about the car, but I don't want her to learn how to drive a manual transmission on my new BMW.

Y'know I see people posting on the local craigslist every now and then offering their services and car to teach stick. You might want to check the latest listings or post/request service.

Guys, today I inadvertently was literally seconds away from Bunny Man Bridge.

I got lost yesterday night trying to pick up my brother, and took an premature right turn off of Ox Road, ending up on Fairfax Station Road. It was dark, so I was like wtf?! but the roads were twisty and soon my fear turned into delight! I was like, "Oh snap! These roads are awesome!" So, I made a note of it, and turned around to pick up my brother.

Today, I went back to give the roads a proper drive and to see its conditions in daylight. Don't worry, I didn't speed whatsoever (although I felt like the Integra behind me was egging me on). I went back and forth a couple times, then took a left on a "Colchester Road", it was really old and narrow. Shortly after, a stop sign appears, forking to a right which continues Fairfax Station Road, and straight ahead, where the roads get really narrow (too narrow for two cars imo). I went a little bit then decided to turn around, when I saw this memorial on the side of the road for someone named "Lauren". Back at the stop sign I explored more of the area's roads and they are a nice scenic drive.

Eventually, I went back home and Google Earthed the route I drove...asked a friend if she ever passed Fairfax Station Road, and was like, "yeah, that's where the Bunny Man Bridge is, right?" I was like iunno, and I checked it out. Lo and behold, it turns out had I gone a little more down that narrow road, I would have met the infamous Bunny Man Bridge.

Oddly enough...Clifton Road is actually connected to that set of back roads, which means it wasn't that far off from where I had my rally incident. Weird.

I am going back tomorrow to actually drive under it. Tee-hee~!

Get some of your students to be the ones standing under the bridge. We can film it from your BMW, if trouble ensues, we can floor it out of there.

Interesting...I googled it up

For the benefit of others:

Bunnyman Bridge

There is a story that a man dressed as a bunny haunts the residential neighborhoods around our nation's capital. Silly as this may sound at first, the Bunny Man has been a fixture of local legend for at least 30 years. By 1973 the so-called "Bunny Man" had been reported in Maryland, and the District of Columbia. His infrequent and widespread appearances tended to occur in secluded locations and usually tell of a figure clad in a white bunny suit armed with an ax threatening children or vandalizing property. By the 1980s the Bunny Man had become an even more sinister figure with several gruesome murders to his credit. Although he has been reported as far south as Culpepper, Virginia. his main haunt has been the area surrounding a railroad overpass near Fairfax Station, Virginia frequented by party goers, the now infamous "Bunny Man Bridge."

Shim: can you post an image of googleearth. Not exactly sure where this is, be interesting to check it out. Interested in a little g2g
