2007 BMW 335i Sedan: No Bass Sound

Greetings:

I have a 2007 BMW 335i Sedan and the bass sound just went out. All the other speakers in the car function properly. I believe I have the HiFi Premium system (tweeters in the front doors).

Based on my research on this forum, I may need to replace the subwoofers underneath my front seats.

What would be the best subwoofer replacement for the OEM subwoofers? I've been looking at the following replacements:

- Bavsound Ghost Underseat Subwoofer, 8 ohm pair
- Rockford Fosgate T3-BMW-SUB
- Just replace with plain old BMW OEM Subwoofer

Which speaker do you think would be best? Do you have any other options?

Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide.

depends how much you want to spend,

for a budget price, alot of people seem to find good results with the sws8 earthquake subwoofers.

You must make sure of which sound system you have
both the Hi Fi and Top Hi Fi (L7 have tweeters)
The L7 has a center dash speaker and graphic eq controls.
Somewhere I read that the 07 came with L7 in the US.

The Hi Fi amp really does not have enough power to drive
aftermarket speaker or even the stock ones.

From the documents above the stock speakers are 4 ohm for
the L7. So you need to match that but you also need to make
sure the channels are working. I would go for an aftermarket
amp for those if you expect any kind of output from them though.

I would expect the amp went bad before the speakers went bad.
Unless liquid was spilled on both speakers.

Try playing with the L7 options turn of modes and adjust according to the L7 sticky.

If all the speakers in the car give good audio except for the subwoofers, how is it the amp has gone bad?

Appreciate your advice. This is an area (among many) that I know nothing about.

Do you know anything about amplifiers and what an amplifier
channel is. Each channel is assigned to a separate speaker and each
channel has a separate power chip these days instead of power transistor.
Its possible that if could be further back in the amp than that .
The only way you will know if its the amp is to take the speakers out an test them.
