My Nokia 6820 works fine except for the address book - it doesn't download to the car. I'm still able to make and receive calls using the steering wheel controls or voice control. I can also use the voice commands to store names and numbers. Here's a pic of the radio display w/ the phone:

Yes!!!! Thanks very much Roup1. I'm so glad you've found this forum and decided to share with us.
If you read enough on this site, you will see I've asked a lot of questions around bluetooth compatibility, how bluetooth interacts with the e90, and if Nokia phones (particularly the 6820 Oh, and about the phonebook not loading up automatically. Searching for this info before your post, I found a page that described how the BMW X3 or X5 interacted with BlueTooth phones, and it specifically mentioned the Nokia 6820's phone book does not sychronize automatically, and that it would be a manual process. I guess this quirk might carry over to the e90. But do not fear other owners of bluetooth phones, even Nokia phones, some do automatically sync the address book. |

All Sony Ericsson have the same connection, just not the same shape. So in theory, you can use a SE cradle, im just not sure if it would fit. I would get the biggest one to be on the safe side. |

This is a great Treo forum, they have a BT section so anyone with a 650 could ask in there or do a search (I could not find any info for the E90 but there was some stuff for the E46 BT, not sure if its the same system or not) Treo Central

Treo 650
All:
No kidding about the Treo 650 - there's not a finer device out there for professionals and I CANNOT believe it is not supported. Please post any updates or new information anyone hears about future compatibility. I presume car CPU can be updated at dealers for additional phones in the future? |

The Sony Ericsson K700i worked on the demo car at the dealership. Does anyone know if caller ID will show on the display?

How about a Treo
I have a Treo that I am attached to becasue of the e-mail function. Any idea if BMW will be adding it to the list?...or will there be kits to adapt the system to Treos?

Hello
Mine will be delivered next 15 jun. Will be silver, diesel, 17' 158 (not the best choice), hi-fi and, bluetooth. Now the question for anyone. Having the new sony-ericsson's P910i, with the headset and handsfree profiles, heard that this phone will work but no address book upload. As anyone this phone, does it works properly? Thanks and congrats for this wonderfull forum. |

I use my unlocked GSM Treo 650 with my E90 and it works wonderfully!!!
I followed some simple precautions I found on bimmerfest before I paired it for the first time: 1) Made sure my SpeedDial favorites do not have any extra numbers that are set to be dialed automatically 2) Deleted my SMS messages (I have no idea why this is required, but I didn't take any chances). After pairing your phone, your favorites (the ones that are of SpeedDial type) are transferred to the E90. You can even dial them by voice command! This said, I know that there are slightly varying versions of Treo Bluetooth out there, so what works for my phone won't necessarily work on a Sprint phone or a Verizon phone, etc. There is a large discussion on this on bimmerfest. Good luck. VERY satisfied Treo 650 and E90 user. |

Voice commands rock with BT and Nav on my my 545. Without doing any voice entry input, you can say "Dial Harding Mark" and it will dial my son. It repeats his name with a German accent.
