Does CF lower lip add to your bumper? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

does the lower lip add to your bumper or does it replace a part of it?
So if i got the lip would it actually look lower or the same but w/ the CF replacement?

CF Splitter adds on to your bumper. Not sure if it is lower but I think it is a little lower. If not it looks like it is.

I think it makes the front slightly lower. Look for pics by EVO_S4 in the photo gallery and in his DIY in the DIY forum.. you can probably tell by those.

Im considering getting this because I scraped my bumper due to a horrible parking situation at my house.

However the parking situation is now changed and it should never happen again so I am wondering if I should spend the money and get this. Not sure how it would look on the Sparkling G.

Yes I know the pic is right above, but you have to see it in person to really know if it's right for you. I'm sure you all understand that.

I bet it looks great in person (just like the pics). CF from far looks like dark gray so it'll blend nicely with SG IMO. Then when you get close you'll be impressived by the CF weave

I have the CF lips on my SG 330i and it looks awesome (IMO). It does blend in (colorwise) with the SG.

How about the original question: does it make the front end a little lower, or does it only advance it forward?

Looks like it doesn't come down lower at all, just more forward (see post #8).

When I picked up my car at the dealer it was parked next to another E90 without the CF, and the front of my car had a slight visual appearance of being lower...but I think it's just that: Visual appearance. I think it really only projects outward. Still look sweet though
