I wash Saturday or Sunday mornings at about 7am, still nice and cool out. This Black paint will make me insane, dust even makes me nuts.
I's wax twice a year. Zaino's got to be the best.

Saturday morning by 7 (unless I'm hung over). 2 coats of Zaino so far, probably #3 this weekend. Check daily for spots of bug juice, bird shit, or tar, since the wife doesn't seem to.

How do you prevent that oily residue on the California duster from getting on the car?

What colour is your car? Does the california car duster not scratch your car? I have a saphire black car, park under a carport every night and my car gets really dusty! I'm looking for a way to just -touch it up- in the mornings (or afternoons)?

Also...please post a pic of this california duster thing, so I can go find one at my autoshop :-)

back to the topic.
I have a saphire black car, with lemon interior.
I've had the car 4 days today and so far I have washed it twice and cleaned the drivers seat and doior pannel once. :-/ need something to "dust" the car with daily, or bi-daily that won't scratch it. I thought a mircofibre cloth would work...but apparently, the dust on the cloth will scratch the car :-///

Please help my guys...pm me with ideas, or mail me at broken1@e90post.com or reply here!

Let me guess, you have a jet black or sapphire black E90? You could never get away with swirls. Nature of black cars...

I dust my car every evening after it has cooled off in the garage and have no sense of oily residue. It keeps it cleaner during the week than not dusting. Three coats of Zaino - dirt comes off easily with the duster. Got a drain in the garage so I wash inside.
