StreetBeat - Feb. 12 - Motorist Tries To Take Off After Collision With Bus

Despite getting into a serious enough crash that the air bag was deployed, a motorist reportedly tried to take off from the scene.

The BMW apparently hit a parked bus on Front St. There was significant damage to the car and the safety device was inflated. The driver got less than a block away when police stopped him and took him into custody. He was treated for minor injuries and charged with impaired driving.

He may also be charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
