Bimmian CF Air Intake?

Seems nice. Do you guys think it's worth the $469 price tag? I'm seriously considering buying one.

Only problem is that they're backordered. Hopefully they will be available soon.

You should also be concerned about function. I'm trying to picture in my head how that would look installed--i.e., how that would catch the cold air, not engine compartment air.

Btw, that was a cool mod u did with the iDrive knob.

I think it keeps the air cool by blocking the heat from the engine, being that the cf holds up to heat better than the plastic of the stock air box. I dont think it turns the air cold though.

I would perfer the real GruppeM over the replicas. I used to have a GruppM for my 325i and have seen the differences with the replicas...in terms of fitments...

It would work on either car, the MAF sensor and intake path is identical in both cars. (As is the airbox you would be replacing)

Ok here's the pics...

The intake was for the 330i but it fits the whole platform as I installed on CTGazers' 325i. Tight fit, at least I know she doesn't move. Install is very easy and only basic tools required.

I will get CTGazer to give his review on the product as he drives the car and can give you his feedback.

The gains are minimal like any other intake.

In addition, the intake has 2 openings to suck in air from. One through the front grilles and there's also a lower port that goes behind the driver side headlight assembly. CTGazer and I will think of a way to run a duct from the lower, possibly from the brake duct vent to lead into the intake as well.

Looks sweet! So that's the Bimmian CF intake right? Notice a more agressive exhaust note? Better throttle response?

I would assume yes especially with an aftermarket exhaust. I did... I have an E46 323i and slapped on a Magnaflow exhaust, deleted the 2nd reso and have the CF intake on mine and I get a pretty nice growl wine hitting the 3krpm+ mark. Definetely better throttle response but thats my car... not sure on the E90s. Wait til get CTGazer gets online.

Hi LWL,

Unfortunately due to the many different setups, we don't do dyno's as the numbers would vary from car to car.
