dude i hate to say this, but you really just don't have an eye for design, at all.

there isn't a single thing that's similar between these, especially now that you posted these new, much higher-res pics.

just point one thing out that's similar. go for it. i can't find a single similarity.

besides the window kink, which is somewhat similar. the top part of the greenhouse slopes down more on the STi.

Definitely the One Series. It looks like a dehydrated three series has just been shocked by a naked wire.

The thing that's particularly ugly about the STI is that stupid, exagerated shnoz hole. Here's a 2-minute p-shop job. It needs something now, but not that gaping ricer hole.

I think the 08 sti is one ugly mother... The 1 series is actually cute. Dude you can't take a hooked up sti and compare it to a stock looking drop top 1 series, put a hot looking hooked up 1 series next to a hooked up sti. By the way a 135 will smoke an sti. So it's not even an amazing performing car that sacrificed looks, it's ugly and performs worse. lol 08 sti ftl

. I'm biased though cause you see what I drive. lol but on the real, the sti is growing on me I just like the design of the speed 3 better, I'd take a 1 series or 3 series or 370z or even the bug eyed sti over the 08 sti anyday.

its actually to direct airflow to the top mount intercooler, so its not a ricer hole, its quite functional, and with few minor mods and AWD that actually puts power to the ground, it will smoke the N54

STI>1 series all day long

You mod a 135i and you're still playing catch up.
They're 2 different animals. The STI and Evo are boy-rally cars. The 1 series is a GT. If you want the rawness, get a rally car. If you want a DD that's sporty get a 1.

I’d say the Evo may be raw (GSR) but the STI doesn’t feel raw to me (except in stock power delivery). You can obviously make it that way for not a lot of money. The ride is more comfortable than my RX8 was and the RX8 isn’t known for a harsh ride.

If I didn’t have kids I wouldn’t have gotten the STI. Without kids I’d be shopping for a 370z, Camaro SS, used M3 Coupe or a 135 coupe. The STI lets me a “Responsible Dad” while being really fun too. You really can back a lot of crap in there, made two landfill runs already with my son in the car (old computers, monitors and such).

In, two weeks I add a Magnaflow CBE, Whiteline steering rack bushings and some tail light tints to fix the nasty rear lights.

I did spot my first 1 series in my area at the local Kohls, gray 128i.
