Every BMW I have owned had the infamous "Pirate Ship" creak. My E46 was the worst as the miles pilled up especially when the regulators were giving out. I had the least amount of creaks and squeaks in my E90 but a lot more in my E92. I do believe having the rear folding seats causes more squeaks because I'm starting to hear a similar squeak in my E92 that I had in my E46 that is coming from somewhere in the back seat. Both my E92 and E46 have rear folding seats.

I'm going to try the WD40 trick. The creaking is making me C R A Z Y.

I only get noticable creaking sounds when I have the parking brake on and get in or out of the vehicle.

Anyone else experiencing this creaking sound? Thanks!

I had the same issues but I fond a fix that seems to work well.

I bought some felt from Tint Protector to keep my tint from scratching and had some left over. It looks like like the factory felt under the dash that BMW uses.

I use it to stop the rattles. It has a sticky back and is fuzzy on one side.
