2011 335i.....

Has anyone heard anything about the new 335 offerings (besides the GT) for 2011? More power? DCT tranny?

I may have to go back Audi and get a 2011 S4 (had B5 and B6 S4's before my 335)....if the 335 does not improve performance/options for the new 2011 model. The new S4 is looking very nice.

Any rumors or news?

What more competition do you want? The Audi is finally competitive...

The F10 5-series will have a TTV8, like the X6.

It will be a beast with minor tuning.

Most probably there will be no DCT but the new 8spd auto because of the always increasing torque, there was an article about that in bimmerfile.

DCT will stay with the M cars though.

So go to Audi then. I'm enjoying the recent Audi lovefest here. They release cars made to compete with a car, the 335, that BMW created 3 years ago and people are stunned when the S4 outperforms it. This reminds me of when the CTS-V came out and outperformed the M5. Well no shit, the E60 has been out for a few years. It's a neverending cycle. Does anyone really believe the next generation of BMW won't destroy every Audi model out there? Don't get me wrong, i'm trying to talk my fiance into getting a S4 instead of a RX350 since military overseas enjoy a nice discount in euro cars.

OP, go with the S4 because AFAIK there won't be a power boost or transmission change with the 335. I personally love the AT that the E9x has, but thats just me.

Funny. There is a big BMW lovefest going on over at some of the Audi forums.

Dont get me wrong...I love my 08 335i....especially with the 6mt and Dinan flash......it will walk all over a new S4. I would stay with the 335 in a second if they would offer the DCT tranny for it. I dont understand why they dont....is it not available in Europe for the 335?

And dont worry.....I dont need your approval to go to Audi..I have been there and done that....and would not hesitate owning another. They are great cars.

It is available in Europe, but AFAIK they don't plan on bringing it to the states. As for "needing my approval", apparently you misunderstood me. I'm not knocking Audi one way or another. Simply stating that what you see with the 335 will be the same for the next few years until the next generation comes out. As I stated earlier, i'm attempting to get my fiance interested in the Audi and away from the Lexus.

No changes for 2011 is my guess... It will be the last year for the E90,
why would they change anything for the last production year? I am sure all the development is already going into the 2012 F30

Bringing over DCT to the US shores is a different story since it's already offered in Europe, I would imagine they will be keeping an eye on S4 DCT (or whatever Audi calls it) sales very closely

Trust me I agree, but she wants a car with lots of room. She's in dental school and thinking about kids when she finishes.
