I look at the menu, it says service requirement, the light shows the car over the letter P.

does this service require time to fix?

most likely are the brake pads. look at the remaining miles

It is warning you there is a catapult built into the road ahead. Nah, most likely brakes like the others said.

That is the symbol for the 30,000 mile inspection, telling you it is probably going to come up in November 2009 in another 390 miles. The letter P means you are in Park with an automatic trans. What I don't get is your miles reading is only 390 miles.

All they do is hook your car up to the dealers GT1 computer and read codes in the car's computer

It's not just reading codes. It's doing a complete inspection of the vehicle. Checking for leaks, damage, malfunctions, etc.
It's only reading 390 miles because it only has 390 more miles until it's due.

The OP must not drive much. 390 miles for the serice and the estimated date is Nov 2009.
