After almost 3 months the insurance companies have finally declared my car a loss after a Viper tboned me....

This is the 4th car I've had totaled now....and i'm 28, I have the worst luck ever w/ cars. None have been my fault either...

Wanted to put together this thread so I could share the photos of my car from start as a stock car I picked up from a private seller in New Hampshire.....to the end.

As the car looked the day I picked it up 4/1/07 w around 2,500 miles. Got a great deal on it at the time :buttrock. Bone stock baby. Drove it all the way back home....that was a fun trip.

Back home in Maryland

In Ocean City, MD at the inlet

Practicing my launch on the backroads of Frederick.....I terrorized this road for over a year

Now its time for mods! I had already put in a V1.47 Procede piggy, but now for a Helix FMIC in December '07. I believe this was the 1st unit sold to the public.

Forge Diverter Valves

Dumped on KW V2 coilovers. thanks to Spool for help with the install. These coilovers transformed the cars ride and handling, all for the positive.

19" CSL reps w/ 275 rear tires.....:redspot

needed some spacers in the rear....w 15mm spacers.

Ultimate Racing Cold Air Intake and catless downpipes

installed...

New front end. custom painted OEM kidney grills and OEM front aero lip plus painted reflectors.

Car remained like this for about 6 months. Took these in that time and 100's more.

On a BMWCCA cruise into PA...335, M5, M5, M6...droool

Doing a boost leak test in my buddy Adam's (Clem) sick garage the night before my car got hit.

And the bad part.....got tboned by another driver, their fault. Not cool. Oh well, good thing is no one was hurt. It was a hell of a hard hit.

Pics I took that day....

as you can see the hit was very localized but hard. The passenger door penetrated into the passenger seat! Thank god no one was with me. It was a low car that hit me, so the rocker panel took the brunt of it then the door. I wasnt sure how bad it was until I tried to shut the driver door and it wouldnt shut correctly. Frame was rippled I thought.

For over 2.5 months the other drivers insurance company was dickin around w/ my body shop and refused to fix the car correctly. The originally wanted the shop to cut off the damaged parts and weld new ones on......horse crap. The body shop tore the car apart and determined that basically the entire side of the car needed to be replaced. To do this the roof needed to come off, the engine come out, and everything replaced. 100% totaled in their eyes and mine and i wouldnt accept the car back. We were at a stallmate. I ended up getting my insurance company involved. It was totaled in a week :buttrock.

In the whole time I refused to go see the car....just upset I guess. I saw it this week and oh my god.....its a mess.

He likely doesn't have authority to do that. Likely the car is now owned by his insurance company which will sell it off for parts/scrap. Insurance company will pay him off...with hopefully a good settlement.

Fuck man. Congrats on the Total. My insurance won't total my car and I suffered a very similar hit.

Theres my post with pics. The bodyshop said if they would have hit the side skirt, it's be totaled. But because it was a couple of inches higher they're going to repair it. I believe its at 9k in damage so far.
