i don't think the mileage really matters that much....they're just springs folks.......

have you ever changed a set of springs for the same ones because they went bad with high mileage?

Why exactly? So he can spend more dough putting them back on? Unless, the car is slammed, it shouldn't affect the trade-in/ sell price and will only make it more aestheticlly pleasing to the new buyer (IMO). Won't be able to re-use new ones unless he buys the same car.

Believe what you want, but unless you are selling the car to an enthusiast, you will always see a higher ROI by parting the car out and selling/trading-in stock.
