Yeah hard to tell if it's bigger than stock. Certainly looks like stock shape from the diagram. Might just be material differences (alcantara and pearl silver colour) and no dimension difference.

Still yummy tho:

Quote:
BMW Performance delivers a true sports-car experience down to the last detail. Even if your BMW has automatic transmission, options such as the BMW Performance selector lever grip will bring a whiff of the racetrack to its interior. Its minimalist styling features black leather and Alcantara, with a decorative strip in high-quality pearl-effect chrome, and fine silver stitching.
Available for
3 Series Sedan from 03/05,
3 Series Touring from 09/05,
3 Series Coupé from 09/06,
3 Series Convertible from 03/07

That's a sexy shift knob, like how the boot flows with the knob.

Otherwise I would just replace the shift indicators with a manual boot, looks better...

Can you really do that? Does that entire piece come out or do you have to buy a new center trim piece? I haven't taken that part out since I did a boost gauge install, so I can't remember. That knob with an alcantara manual boot and no shift indicator would be perfect. It tells you what gear you're in on the dash anyway.

Yep. There is at least one member here that has done it. Pretty sure he posted a diy, or at least a detailed regular post with pics. Looks very clean.

Pretty sure its doable, we had that done on our past e46 project cars - looks much cleaner. Honestly no one looks at that indicator anyways.
