Not HO but there are places for Formula One Pinnacles....I forgot how much.

www.latint.com ... ask them specifically for Formula One Pinnacle ceramic

is tint percentages transmittance or absorbance? IIRC, its transmittance, but would just like to double check...

That's what I have. 35% on my so-so tint job.
The black interior of the car makes it look darker.
My friend has a TL with 30% and black interior. His tint looks lighter than mine.
His car was recently tinted at another place in Rockville.
His tint job turned out worse than mine with more noticeable bubbles.

Good luck on your tint guys.

AJ, Tint % is the percentage of light going through; so it's transmittance.

Donny, have you seen pictures of cars with 20% in rear and 35% on windows? If so, then go for it.

Truong, yes actually...in the official tint pics thread. Looks great, there isn't much difference between the 20% and the 35% imho so they look pretty even out, but overall helps to make the windows appear darker.

Cool, I was just wondering because I had 20/35% tint on my Maxima and regretted not getting 20% all the way around. Then again, I think it also depends on the shde of tint you get. But I still regret it to this day.

Where are you getting it done?

TNT tint...Madico tints (charcoal I believe) for $210. Price and location (couple of minutes from my place) is appealing. I know AJ is upgrading to ceramic for better heat rejection, I don't really need that too much, my car goes from garage to garage most of the time. Doing it more for looks and a little more privacy especially in morning traffic/commute (not a morning person so I don't really feel like looking civil to the people around me )

They have a place in sterling, so I will probably use them...

AJ - did you end up using LA Tint? What do you think of the work?

I will want to get tint done fairly soon after getting my car. Is there nowhere around here that uses Huper Optik? Probably the same as most of you -- price is much less important to me than quality and workmanship.

I still have not gotten my car retinted... I had a big expensive month in July, and have had a few housing needs come up first... I will eventually get around to the tint...

try searching for the Formula One tint. I would skip over the HO and get the best at reflecting heat. I like the look of my charcoal tints, but they do squat when it comes to dissipating heat...

I guess I'd want to use Formula One "Pinnacle" (non-metalic) to avoid any issues with CA, nav, or radio. Anyone else here using that tint?

[edit] I see that's what Donny mentioned above. That's what I'll look for.
