Thanks for the 411 Kenny.

If you've never been teased or taunted because of your race, then the rage
might be difficult to understand.

Talk about me... I'll hold it in. But it's very hard to hold in your anger when they talk about your parents and family.

Tabloids are usually the first to get the info right, mostly because they pay lots for the info.

They may be cheesy, but they're right most of the time.

Remember Brad Pitt marriage ending. That was out almost a year before it happened.

I could go on but you get my point.

Funny vids...

HAHAHAAHAH first off, i have to say you guys with those animations are freaking hilarious!!!

Anyway- my cousin who is here visiting from italy told me many many times, Zidane is not the classy, professional player that we all think. She said he's an A-hole. He has been kicked out of many many games, and intentionally fouls players on many occasions.

I agree Materazzi shouldnt have said what he supposedly said, but you know what.. this is the world cup, and your final apperance as a player- you shouldnt let anything get in your way of winning. If i were zidane, i would have let it go, then after the match, beat the living shit outta him. But i wouldnt let some player jepordize whats at stake. Zidane should have kept his cool, finish the game, and make his country proud

First of all Zidane knows that Materazzi is dirty player, he just snapped.
When Zidane use to play for Juve he got a few red cards. He was was suspended for five games in Champions League for headbutting a player. In the 1998 world cup he got a red card for stepping on player.

Now everyone is trying to justify why he did it. He shouldn't have done what he did.

Now if Materazzi said something racist than he should be punished for it. The latest information is that Materazzi told Zidane that is sister is slut.

It was obvious what Materazzi said live on Saturday night when I was watching it. I knew he said something about his mum, you could just see it, feel it. I feel sorry for Zidane and don't blame him one bit, Matarazzi got what he deserved. FIFA should get on Matarazzi's case if he has been racist to Zidane, racism shouldn't be in any sport.

If it's true that the Italian player did say that to him then in that case I don't blame him for getting upset. However, I wish he could have resolved it in another fashon rather than headbutting the guy.

I love this line of the article: (http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/stor...4?FSO1&ATT=HMA)

"But I categorically did not call him a terrorist. I'm not cultured and I don't even know what an Islamic terrorist is."

Yeah right.... lol

What Materazzi said

I watched the game too. Using super-slow motion, and with the help of an interpreter I was able to discern exactly what Materazzi said to Zidane:

"Your mother was a hamster and your father smells of elderberry."

Now see if Zidane had watched "Bend it Like Beckham", he would have learned that retaliation is a selfish act that reflects negatively on the team.

Seriously, I grew up getting lots of racial slurs, and you just have to ignore the opposing bench. Winning is the best revenge.

That being said...sometimes you get a chance to do it cleanly.
This from ESPN Magazine about Hines Ward, the coolest part-Korean on the planet.

"Ward has been fined by the NFL just once in his seven-year career, for taunting after he flattened Browns safety Earl Little with a block in a game three years ago. The Steelers threw a pass into the flat, and Ward caught Little with a perfect shot. Ward stood over the unconscious Little and enjoyed the moment a bit too much. He immediately apologized, but he says, "Two plays before, he tried to take my head off, then looked at me and said, 'YOU CHINESE BITCH.'

"I've heard that stuff all my life," Ward says. "Usually it doesn't bother me. But if you're going to talk stuff and try to take me out, I'm coming at you. Cleanly and fairly. But I'm coming."

This is the World Cup, like all other sports, baseball, basketball, football, there will be trash talking. How many times does a catcher in baseball taunt the batter to mess up his concentration.
Both Materazzi and Zidane have history of this behavior. What ever Materazzi said to Zidane, Zidane got even with the head butt. Too bad for him, Zidane got red carded and thrown out. End of story
I don't understand how this is a racial issue. It's sports. Live with it. I could understand if they wouldn't let Zidane play because he was Muslim. Thats racism. But two guys trash talking to each other is not racism.

I agree. Im sure both sides did plenty of trash talking. Its not like the french were complimenting the italians on their hairstyles, while the italians were calling them dirty terrorists. Alls fair in love and war...

The Germans were calling the Italians parasites and Mafiosi, I didn`t see any of the Italian players lose it.
