What would happen if a black NBA player called a white one cracker?

Nothing.

If the black guy got hit for doing that, he deserved it, that's for sure.

If you even watch soccer on a regular basis, you'd know the way Materrazi plays is not common. You don't play to make friends that's right, but you don't play to hurt others either. You play that way, you hurt yourself in the end. That's the golden rule in any sport. I played in the city league for 2 years (and many more years for school teams), fortunately I've never met a guy as aggressive as Materrazi.

I know you love your team, and there are some great playes on the team that deserve the trophy. But Materrazi is not one of them.

You're right ACMilan players hate Materazzi, I hate Materazzi. He's not a very liked player. You have to remember that there is a big rivalry between Inter Milan (team where Materazzi plays) and AC Milan. Therefore, ACMilan players and fans hate Inter Milan players. Inter Milan has only 3 Italian players Materazzi, Favali and Toldo. A few weeks ago they bought Grosso and rumours are that they will buy Luca Toni and Zambrotta. Materazzi was the only Inter Milan player in the Italian national team.

Bella's right of the pitch the players are all friends.

Remember that Materazzi scored the tying goal in the final so he does deserve the trophy, whether you like him or not.

I saw Materazzi last night at the Stones Concert in Milan and the crowd went wild...all he had to say was "campioni del mondo" and the whole stadium started chanting and stomping their feet - for a muniute I thought the balcony I was sitting in was going to come down...I have some pics and will post them later...

Lucky you.

The Rolling Stones in Milano. Life can get any better than that.

Now a lot of people like Materazzi, he scored two goals, one of which was the equalizing goal in the world cup final. Prior to his performance in the world cup a lot of disliked him. Many observers even questioned is place in the Italian national Team.

The controversy is over Zidane just spoke about the headbutt that occurred in the final ten minutes of the game. He said that Materazzi insulted his sister and is mom. He did not call him a terrorist.

It's sad that for World Cup level soccer it's getting to be that half of your ability needs to be based on your stamina and the sport, and the other half on your acting abilities. The overly done fake falls, grabbing their heads, or writhing in agony on the ground reminds me of the WWE. It's funny at first, and makes me want to turn the channel after a while.

There are limits to trash talking, but it happens in every pro sport. The original reports that got people here fired up were not correct. He was not called anything like a terrorist, or had his religious beliefs thrown at him. Zidane did say that there were momma and sis digs tho, which is very wrong, but he shouldn't have done what he did in retaliation. It was plain stupid and cost France the cup.

I don't care who you are, everyone has their limits.

I'm sure Bella is very proud of her team winning the cup no matter what, in this case cheating or playing aggressively => mostly Materazzi although I've seen other players on the Italian team INTENTIONALLY kicking others when they're down(replays).

For the record, I'm not a fan of France either.

And that's why they are World Champion now.

Couldn't have said it better, or agree more.
