G-Tech results JB3 map #7, vp109 vs 94 octane.

Somes test agains today.

But this time with vp109 only.

Same place than yesterday. Only 1-2 degres more cold

I test map 6,7,8. And better result with map 7.

The only problem is when I shift in 4th gear around 100 mph, I have a lag, 1 run on 3 runs. Is samething before I change my CDV last year. I know the clutch don't slip but a little lag on turbo. I hope the 1.3 JB3 will fix this.

My best runs is #1 but I think the second runs could be better if no lag when I shifting in 4th gear...only 112,95 mph. I think 11.9xx be possible with a good launch like this runs and no lag in 4th gear like the 1st runs. Maybe because the motor is to hot?? Many runs back to back ?

Here results of my 4 runs with vp109. with JB3 1.22 map #7
car: 335xi 2008, JB3 1.22, AA exhaust, DCI,CDV. 6mt.

With racing fuel, the car is a real beast

You see the difference after shifting the 4th gear.

And the second graph are the results of yesterday with 94 octane on map #7
runs #1 and #2 = JB3 map 7, runs #3 = AA processor and runs #4 = stock

vp109 is a good upgrade with map 7.

Maybe with a good launch on glue, I will be the first XI in 11s at track, this summer...

4100 to 4400 rpm. And when the car start the rpm drop around 3000 and after climb to 6500-6700 rpm before shifting in second gear.

That pause in performance on the hard shift to 4th is throttle body closure. You need to shift a touch slower to prevent that. As to what exactly is causing it, it's still up in the air. My car did it stock if I shifted too hard. And yes, if it happens on a real drag run it'll kill your trap speed then as well.

What do you mean by a 'touch slower'. Sorry, i'm a n00b. Do you mean the physical motion of changing gears needs to be slower? or do you mean at a slower speed?

FYI, I have never achieved a 11 second run on the Gtech/Vbox on the street, only 12.0x. So the quickest time will be on the track. But then again, I haven't used MS109 in my street testing.

He's posted vids of him launching his car. They are pretty sick!! Search for them. You'll see how he gets those crazy 60 foot numbers with his xi.

Hey Bob. Hope you do--someone will post an 11s in Xi for sure. Not to rain on your parade but I sincerely think your going to need lower 60 ft times--1.70 at worst. There is 1.69 (dragtimes) and mine are generally in the 1.7-1.75 range.

Also--Gtech is nice--but doesn't always translate to track times. I ran my CTS-V down the strip in ohio and got 12.3@119. G-tech had it at 11.9.

I have had an 11 in my BMW already on the G-tech. But I do think we will see 11s from the Xi very soon.
