Not happy with clear bra install

I just got the clear bra installed today and I most say I'm not fully satisfied with how it looks. When I first called to make an appointment they told me it was better to had the aero lip installed before doing the clear bra. It was a ClearShield "certified" installer...but they didn't had a template for the aero lip, so they ended up doing a custom install on the aero lip portion. I was already expecting the clearshield to be installed in pieces and hence see the cut lines in some spots. But the center portion of the aero lip is not covered all the way to the mesh so if you get close to the car you can see the cutted line. Main bumper section looks great though

People who have clear bra on their cars..is this normal? I"ll post pics once the weather clears up. I'm thinking of removing the aero lip portion and just get it repainted whenever it looks bad. I don't know...maybe I'm just too picky and I have to trade off between rock chips or the clear bra lines. There is only one "recommended" clear bra shop here in Austin, so I guess I would have to go to San Antonio (like I did for the Vorst trunk) or to Houston to get it done properly

I already did man...they gave me the "shrudded shoulder look" with the explanation that the custom fit piece for the aero lip requires using a razor to cut near the mesh area and they dont' want to mess up the paint.

Originally they told me they were gonna try to fit the full oem bumper template on top of the aero lip...I was like WTF since its obvious it was gonna look funny. The top section of the bumper and the sidemirros turned out great...but it really bugged me hoe the aero lip piece only goes half way before reaching the mesh.

Any people from SA or Houston wanna chime in on a good place to get the clar bra done? I'm pretty sure I'm gonna take off the lip bra...even if that means repainting the area

Ventureshield is the only one that makes a pre-cut kit for the aero lip.

Thanks I'll try to check if there is an installer within the Central Texas area. Obviously Austin sucks when it comes to modding and car care. I had to go to San Antonio to get my Vorsteiner trunk painted because none of the paint shops in Austin wanted to do the job without blending the paint with the rear fenders. Positive thing about that is that there aren't many modded e9X's here except the ones from our meets

Finally added some photos. Let me know what you think guys! To me it looks kinda funny from certain angles only...especially in the transition from the center mesh to the left (driver) side mesh. I might leave it like that and repaint later on.

+1. Lines are inevitable with clear bra. I don't really think yours is too bad at all. If you're not happy, I'd just ask for a portion of the money back and call it a day.

I had my guy customized the lower aero lip so I don't see any gaps like yours.

Can you tell me the name of the shop? I might do a road trip to Dallas. Honestly, I don't know how people can do clear bra on half the hood...it would drive me nuts seeing the line. LOL

yeah it seems like the clear bra is not covering enough on your aero lip. I would definitely take it to a place that at the minimum has a pre cut design for the aero lip. If they do it custom, it should cover more of the lip. Good luck

Yeah...most clear bra places will leave the lines like that.

You either have to go to a place that does full custom...meaning, they are not using a template but do it by hand.

or do what I did...use spray on clear bra. No lines.

How much did it cost and where did you get it installed? Thanks.
