Pics: Finally put on some H&R Sports..... How does it look?

I finally got around to throwing on some H&R Sport springs yesterday. Big shout out to M3to335 for helping me with the installation and thanks to larryn & lni for the DIY. Only took prob about 5 hours total and we were taking our time.

The ride now is still surprisingly pretty close to stock. Over some bumps you can tell it's lower and and bit firmer, but for the most part it's still pretty smooth. I'll hit the track @ VIR this Thursday with em, but just from hitting a few exit ramps today you can tell body roll is reduced quite a bit from the stock springs. So far so good.

I'm looking at prob throwing on some 15mm spacers for the back..... curious what everybody thinks about the front... do I need some small (maybe 5mm) spacers up there or do you think the front looks good the way it is?

Nice drop! I think the 15mm would do fine in the rears, but the front seems fine the way they are since it is really lowered significantly!

Yeah, is it just me or is his car lower than it should be? Typically springs take some time to settle but his came out like that right when we took it off the jack stands! The backs look exactly where they should be but the fronts look like the race springs.

Dont get me wrong, it looks great, but I just hope it doesnt settle from this point on.

The rear is a little too low for my taste but overall it does look really good!

Interesting. It does look lower than it should be. The rears are tucked..I didn't think the sports were suppose to lower that much. A little to low for my taste, but best of luck with it.

No mistake, I have the H&R Sports too and it's lower than I expected, that is wheels are tucked inside the top of the fenders at all corners. FWIW, according to specs very little difference between Sports and Race in terms of drop.

Wished it were 1 inch higher for winter driving.

Thanks for the comments everybody. The car is pretty fricken low. I wish H&R had another set kinda between stock and Sport levels….. my main goal was to reduce the body roll and make it handle a little better at the track….. didn’t want to go too low. Seems like it’s settling a bit too….. looked a little bit lower this morning.

What effect will these have on the long run? I'm guessing they will wear out the rest of the suspension faster.

I've heard it does wear out the stock shocks quicker. My lease is up in about 10 months anyway so they won't be on there too long. If I decide to keep it, which I may, I will prob try to find some coilovers for it.

Ride is still good but you can def tell it's lower and firmer when you hit decent size bumps. For the most part it's smoother than I thought it would be though.

Yep that's how H&R sports look! I have the same on mine, but did you notice the numbers on the coil themselves are not the same as what's on the outside of the box? I'm also on stock sport shocks. Ride is very smooth... hitting bumps is a little firmer, but for the most part the ride is like stock zsp. Did you cut down the bump stops?

I noticed the difference in the #'s too. And yeah, we cut the bump stops off at one of the 2 narrower parts of it, so ended up cutting a little more than 1/3 of it off it probably.

Looks perfect to me! I was wishing my car would be a touch lower (maybe 1/4 -1/2") with the Eibach pro springs I installed, maybe I should swap my Eibachs for H&R sports?
