First Procede software version for me was 1.45 on the Rev I Hardware (About June 2007).
Upgraded to V2.
Upgraded to V3 PNP (latest map was 3.0).
Today put in the Rev II hardware with Canbus Activated (X on the sticker), with the Stg 1 Canbus 6MT 3-24 map. What is that considered, Version 3.3?

UPS dropped it off today and I could not wait until this weekend.

While I was under the hood I took the opportunity to:

1) Fix the Air Temp Sensor I snapped almost 2 years ago. Very easy to replace although the part has been updated and when you get it, it is a different shape.

2) Run the USB cable from the ECU box to the Glove Box. This was also pretty easy and no problems. I can see so many benefits to doing this . I used to go into the ecu cover every time I wanted to update the software.

Following the Rev II install video, it was very straight forward how to remove the REV I connections and insert the Rev II connections. I should have it down by now. It was nice to get rid of the ground wire protruding from the ecu box

Somehow I got the AT map preloaded instead of the MT map, so I updated that without issue.

The most time consuming part of the install was the stupid Radio Shack drivers for the USB to Serial Cable. My last laptop with XP died, so I got a new one with Vista. The CD with the Radio Shack drivers, no longer works with Vista, so I had to try some things and then do a google search. I found the drivers and instructions for Vista here:

I took the car out for a little drive and I can't really compare the performance until the pavement warms up and gets the tires a little more sticky. The car was defintley very strong, and I did not see over 14.5 PSI (I had the user tq at 91% on 93 octane Shell Vpower gas).

Rev II hardware is much smaller than REV I and fits nicely in the ECU box. I can't wait for some of the future developments and I hope there is no more need to get into the ECU box for a long time.

Very happy to go into summer prepared for all the coming developments.

how hard is it to run usb through ecu box to glove box ?
do you need to remove the whole ecu box or just dividers?

It's very simple, there is a DIY on this forum. You do not need to remove the ecu box/dividers. You just gotta lift the ecu box up a little to get the right angle to snake the cord through (it helps to have someone on the other side ready to grab it).

I did not have to remove the dividers, but you do need to pull the ECU itself out of the box to be able to wrench your fingers to that hole so you can push the usb cable through...

just have a buddy on the other side under your glove box (after you take the bottom panel off) ready to grab it and its cake

Here is the DIY post. It was not difficult. I lifted up the dividers. The hole is on the back and I thought that the usb cable was not going in far enough (it just went in an inch or two), but looking with a flashlight it was in the cabin. It was hitting the top of the carpet and stopping. I just had to use both hands to get it to come out and pull it the rest of the way through. There is a little door in the back of the glove box that has two plastic knobs you turn to open it up and grab the wire into the glove box.

Isn't there some issue with the USB cable through the firewall where you're basically preventing a fan from running?

There are two holes, use the one that is the lowest in the box and you don't go though the fan. I don't have the link to that thread at work, but can post it later.

just finished rounting the usb cable through ecu.

took me 2 hours for the whole process. what a pain..

it seems hard when you need to remove it because usb will be stuck between firewall....??

it can be tough, but after you've done it one time its easy.

I can do it in 10 minutes.

Couldn't wait and gave it a try...

The massive torque makes this thing really impressive and much more fun to drive around town and the tiny blip at 4K is all but gone. THIS MAP IS A BIG IMPROVEMENT OVER ANYTHING I HAVE EVER TRIED!!!

This is the map that we have all been waiting for. I believe that without the limitations of trying to achieve diagnostic invisibility, Shiv has created the #1 reason to upgrade to REV 2. The code clearing and extras are the icing on the cake. This map has the best of both worlds.

I typically try to be very objective and as most people know, I have tried a lot of different tunes. I am no "fanboy" and have no devotion to any one vendor but I must say that a big CONGRATULATIONS is in order at this time.

Self proclaimed torque whore #1 is now finally satisfied.

My typical long winded review (with Dynos) will be forthcoming.

Thought you said you are satisfied? You going for stage II now? What you saying is stage I has loads of torque down low right? Well if you want to give a more thorough review of stage I, lots of inquiring minds out there would like to hear it.
