Fresh CANBUS install...

Took a over a week to get but in the end the REV II came already upgraded with the additional features, . Map confirmation is cool and I have to use the code deletion thing yet.

Anyways, after waiting for the right time to install it (wife gone for a couple hours), I decided to throw the video on and go at it. Took just over an hour taking my time to understand all the steps so I could do it again without the video.

Once finished the car started up fine, with no problems and after 5 days of driving the shit out of it, I have yet to throw a code. However, I have the CANBUS Doomsday stage 1 map right now and am anxiously awaiting the loading of the non-doomsday beta map sometime this week.

For right now I couldn't be happier, the car feels like previous built mustangs I've owned. The torque is stronger in low gears and it pulls harder through every gear up top. A friend of mine was along side of me this weekend while driving and was like [oh shit], when I spun hard from a 25 roll in 2nd. The poor little SVT focus on the other side of me didn't know what to do after that (he had been previously trying to race me for some reason). My buddy has been asking for a ride ever since.

As of right now my car has just a drop-in K&N with the REV II. Don't really plan on doing much more right now, but I have been pondering about that VK fmic for awhile. I'll update later on how the beta map works out and what differences there may be. I'll probably datalog some stock, CANBUS, and beta map runs to show some objective findings too.

Thanks and definitely let us know if the DD vs non-DD you feel much of a difference.

+1 It is a 30 minute install and easy to put back to stock. With your tune you should see some decent hp returns for very little effort or $.

With the code clearing why in the world would you run the doomsday maps, being that if you run a non-doomsday map and trigger a code, its a simple job to erase them.

Huh? The only CANbus one he's released (to my knowledge) has been the non-doomsday stage one here. You sure that's not the one you have?

My mistake, I am running the latest 3.2 2-19 map with CANBUS features enabled. The procede came with "DD stage 1" on it.
